What to Expect: Your First Chiropractic Visit
Consultation
You will have a one on one consultation with Dr. Conner to discuss the reason for your visit.
Examination
At the conclusion of the consultation, we will perform a comprehensive chiropractic examination. This examination will help assess the patient's condition and determine the most appropriate course of care.
X-Rays
Depending on your specific condition, we may order X-rays as well (these will be done same day in our office). X-rays help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you, and alert us of any serious spinal conditions. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, they can even identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves. If you have any X-ray studies or other imaging such as MRI or CT scans already, please bring them with you to your consultation.
Report of Findings
The report of findings visit is a crucial part of chiropractic care, as it allows the doctor to share the results of the initial examination and explain the underlying causes of the patient’s symptoms. During this appointment, he will review any diagnostic findings, such as posture analysis, spinal assessments, or imaging results, and outline a personalized care plan tailored to the patient's specific needs. This visit ensures that patients fully understand their condition and the recommended course of treatment before beginning care. To ensure timely communication and continuity of care, the report of findings visit will be scheduled for the day following the initial consultation.
Treatment Plan
Chiropractic treatment plans are essential for achieving lasting relief and long-term spinal health, as they are carefully designed to address each patient’s unique condition and goals. Following a consistent treatment schedule helps ensure optimal progress, as missed or irregular appointments can disrupt the healing process and delay results. It is important for patients to schedule their visits in advance to maintain continuity of care and secure appointment times that fit their routine. Arriving on time also allows for the full duration of the appointment to be dedicated to treatment, ensuring the best possible outcomes. Commitment to the treatment plan, including punctuality and consistency, plays a vital role in the success of chiropractic care.
